Food Cravings and Quick Fixes
I’m hoping by now you are starting to feel like “I can do this!” With a proven system and someone helping you through each stage, supporting you and holding you accountable, it is really doable.
This isn’t a program where we give you a diet that promises the desired weight loss and tell you to follow it, and good luck.
Studies show that people typically stick to a diet or weight loss plan for only a few weeks. There are many reasons why people can’t stick to a diet. It may be too strict, or their cravings for sweets and junk food consume them, or they feel shame when they slip up and just give up. This is why we want to take the focus off of dieting and put it on adopting a healthy whole-food lifestyle.
In my weight loss coaching program, we deal with the cravings for sweets and junk foods. Some people crave a lot of sweets, other people crave salty and crunchy and others just crave a lot of food. So we work with this. We work with substitutions so you can still address a craving.
What about diet?
I am glad you asked. I would love to tell you that you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. Isn’t this how so many weight loss plans hook you in? Isn’t this the promise of Gastric Bypass surgery? You don’t have to make a change. You get to continue to indulge yourself the way you always did but if you take this pill, or potion, an injection or surgery you can lose all the weight you want.
Of course this appeals to everyone who wants to have the results without having to work for them. I get it! Instead of having to face the dragon, we find something to put it to sleep for while so we can continue on our oblivious way. But it is only a matter of time before the sleeping dragon wakes up and wreaks havoc on your life. You may experience side effects from the medication you took, or the surgery you had. You may realize that it wasn’t worth the cost, not financially as much as to your health and well-being.
The worst part of taking the easy way out, is that you never really grow on a personal level. You don’t become a stronger, better version of yourself. If you succumb to the quick fix, you will find sooner or later that quick is not permanent.
The only permanent solution to the battle of the bulge and/or their accompanying health issues, is lifestyle transformation. This means changing your diet to one that is healthy and sustainable.
