Weight Loss Injections, Pills, or Something Better?
I’ve noticed that a lot of people are looking into weight loss injections or shots. I imagine many of these people are at the end of the road and don’t know what else to do. They may have been yo-yo dieting for years and lose weight, but then gain it all back. There is a sense of desperation. And there is a hope for a magic cure. That one thing that is going to make a difference.
If you are someone who is looking into pills or shots for weight loss, I want to tell you that YOU are the one thing that is going to make a difference. You won’t find what you are looking for in diets, pills and injections. Because what you are looking for can only be found within you.
The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
You are what you eat could not be more true, but it can be a bit difficult to wrap your mind around sometimes. So many people want to continue eating the way they always have and get a different result. Diet plans are looked at as a temporary fix. You can go on a diet for six weeks, lose some weight and then go back to “normal” eating. It doesn’t work this way. Because if you struggle with weight gain, your “normal” diet may be the culprit.
You might even believe you are eating pretty healthy. Or you know that you don’t eat healthy. Or you bounce back and forth between eating healthy and not so healthy. You may sit at a desk all day and not get much exercise or activity.
A diet pill or injection is not going to fix this. If this is the route you choose, you may be trading in one set of problems for another; especially if your drug of choice has severe health consequences or side effects.
I believe most people just want to be healthy and feel good in their body, but this isn’t always easy to achieve unless one is willing to embrace the journey of lifestyle transformation.
Lifestyle transformation is the only real, proven way to get to a weight loss goal and stay there. It is about changing the way you think, your behavior, your food choices, your activity level, how you address your emotional needs, how you deal with stress and conflict and how you deal with addictions.
As you go through this Lifestyle transformation journey, you begin to build inner strength, determination, discipline, self-love and self-nurturing. You aren’t just becoming the person you want to be on the outside. You are becoming the person you want to be on the inside. Once we get the inner right, the outer follows.
